I was challenged by my local Barnes & Noble to develop a list of 31 horror movies to watch, one a day for October. My only problem is that I couldn't pick just one.
For October 4, enjoy the following picks!
Horror Author Joe Chianakas pick-of-the-day:
AS ABOVE, SO BELOW
I get tired of the found-footage genre, but this is an exception. It's creative, original, and it creeped me out. I don't scared watching many flicks these days. This one had its moments! Don't watch if you're claustrophobic. A great film to watch late at night on an October evening.
Available on: Amazon, iTunes
Rabbit in Red pick-of-the-day (a movie referenced in my horror series):
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY
I actually make fun of this movie in my book, but I thought it would be fun to have a found-footage day. Watching this in the theater was actually fun. There are too many sequels, but if you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch.
Available on: Amazon, iTunes
The Magnificent Movie Emporium pick (join the movie group by clicking the link):
THE HAUNTING (1963)
A classic haunted house tale!
Available on: iTunes, Amazon
